These Seller Guidelines outline the standards and responsibilities expected from all individuals and businesses selling agricultural produce through Farmgate Nigeria (“we,” “our,” “the platform”). Compliance with these guidelines ensures transparency, trust, and efficient transactions for all users.
To sell on Farmgate Nigeria, a seller must:
Be at least 18 years old.
Provide accurate personal, business, or farm information.
Agree to all Farmgate Nigeria Terms and Conditions.
All produce listed is fresh, accurately graded, and honestly represented.
Quantities and pricing are realistic, fair, and aligned with market expectations.
No spoiled, contaminated, or misrepresented produce is listed for sale.
Farmgate Nigeria reserves the right to delist any product that does not meet quality standards.
Prices must be realistic and competitive.
Intentionally inflated or misleading prices are not allowed.
Sellers cannot add hidden fees without buyer consent.
Sellers must respond promptly to buyer inquiries.
Only official Farmgate Nigeria channels should be used for sensitive or high-value transactions.
Abusive or fraudulent communication is strictly prohibited.
Ensure timely preparation and release of produce for delivery or pickup. Never ship produce to buyers without proper verification through Farmgate Nigeria. Provide accurate delivery timelines and comply with agreed pickup/delivery arrangements.
Our agents can serve as intermediaries between sellers and buyers. Sellers must cooperate with agents during inspections, verification, or settlement.
Misrepresent the type, grade, or condition of produce. Conduct transactions outside the platform to avoid platform rules. Impersonate Farmgate Nigeria staff or mislead buyers. Request payment through unofficial channels. Violation of these rules may result in suspension or permanent removal from the platform.
Sellers must:

Permit verification when requested.
Refrain from any action that could mislead or endanger buyers.
For transactions facilitated by Farmgate Nigeria, payment upon delivery is strongly encouraged. Sellers must follow payment instructions from official Farmgate Nigeria representatives only.
